Sierra BASE commercialized its portable safety inspection solution, “SIRIUS Handy,” using Korea’s first rotating LiDAR technology for precise 3D mapping and AI-based safety analysis in tunnels.

The handheld system enables workers to walk while creating 3D maps and detecting micro-cracks as small as 0.1mm, reducing inspection time and enhancing operator safety.

CEO Sung-Hyun Kim highlighted this as a breakthrough in indoor safety diagnostics and a new paradigm for infrastructure inspection through 3D digital twin technology.
